SideEye
Respect your privacy.
SideEye looks for signals from supported smart glasses, drones, and surveillance hardware nearby. You can also explore known surveillance on the map and plan routes around it.
Coming to iPhone
They keep an eye on you. Now you can keep an eye on them.
Signal detection
- Smart glasses
- Recognize Bluetooth patterns associated with supported smart eyewear, including devices that might otherwise pass unnoticed.
- Surveillance hardware
- Look for broadcasts associated with compatible surveillance hardware nearby.
- Drones
- Look for supported Remote ID broadcasts. What SideEye can show depends on what the drone transmits and what your iPhone can receive.
Surveillance map & navigation
- Surveillance map
- Explore known surveillance locations, including cameras and license-plate readers. Check the area around you or look ahead along your trip.
- Navigate around it
- Search for a destination and plan a route that avoids mapped surveillance where possible. See how known locations relate to your route before you set off.
Good to know.
Does a match mean a camera is recording?
No. A signal can suggest that supported hardware is nearby. It doesn’t tell you whether a camera is on, who owns the device, or whether you’re being recorded.
Will SideEye find every device?
No. Some devices don’t broadcast, use unsupported signals, or send signals an iPhone cannot receive. Mapped locations also depend on available data.
Can a route avoid every camera?
No. Route planning uses known, mapped locations. Some surveillance may be missing from the map, and a route around every mapped location may not be available. SideEye helps you make a more informed choice about your route.
When can I download it?
SideEye is in development for iPhone. The download link will appear here when it launches.
